Transform Your Life With NLP Coaching

A New Year A New You

new year new you

At the beginning of every New Year, many of us make resolutions about making changes that could bring improvements to our life.  Such as stopping a bad habit, losing weight, getting a better job, learning a new skill or change our lifestyle in some way.

However by about the end of February for many of us, the resolutions have been forgotten and life follows the same old patterns as it did in the previous year and the changes don’t take place.

On my journey I have failed more times that succeeded on many New Years Resolutions.  Many times I set the intention to do something but I didn’t have a plan on how to do it. I didn’t have any one in my life to be accountable to, who would remind me to take some action towards my resolution.  I also noticed deep down I wasn’t sure if I could do it.

The biggest thing I found that really stopped me was not being sure if I could do it.  This showed up in my behaviour in patterns that started with procrastination that led me onto a lack of having a commitment.  Both these behaviour patterns were hurdles that I couldn’t seem to overcome.

I often wondered why I had a lack of commitment. It seemed strange to me to want something but not have a commitment in doing what I needed to help me get it.

After some personal enquiry I realised my restricting behaviours stemmed from some limiting beliefs about who I was as a person.  Those limiting beliefs were the underlying reason I could not get into the committed zone and follow through on the action needed.  Those limiting beliefs were hidden in my subconscious mind and seemed to stop me in my tracks before I could even start.  I just didn’t believe I could do it and therefore I didn’t and proved my limiting belief to be true.

The limiting beliefs I had were “I am not good enough, I am not worthy and I am not intelligent enough.  And all these limiting beliefs took me into a place of fear within myself.

Fear of failure,  fear of shame, a fear of looking like fool.

With limiting beliefs like that, no wonder my life has been pretty haphazard at times. I was full of doubts, had no real sense of direction and I was a late starter in life.  I had carried these limiting beliefs since my childhood and they shaped my behaviour and thus my life.

I also couldn’t seem to find a happy zone inside myself to feel good about who I was until I stepped onto the path of personal development.  This opened out my world in a hope that I can change. I read loads of books, watched video’s, attended seminars and felt like I was making some way to improve myself.  However the same patterns still reoccurred in my life.  I had a intellectual understanding about a lot of stuff to help me but I still didn’t follow through on it because the main problem I had lay in my subconscious and I didn’t know how to access that part of me.

That was until I tried NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming).  This occurred with life giving me an opportunity to study NLP. I got the chance to learn NLP and in that chance I also had the opportunity to try it all out on me!  And it worked!

NLP seemed to tackle many of my problems just where they lay in the subconscious mind.   I actually reprogrammed many limiting beliefs into supporting ones and I started to believe in myself in a good way.  I also started to like myself. It felt like I had a fresh pair of eyes to view myself through. For once in my life I saw myself as others said they saw me – in a good light.  When people paid me compliments I didn’t brush them off, I accepted them.  I did new things, some of which I would never have dreamed of trying before.  I made new friends, people I would never have spoken to in the past, through fear of rejection or feeling undermined. I had more confidence and self esteem.  I was able to speak my truth a lot more without worrying about what others thought of me.  I also became more assertive and lead my life in a way that served me and my family really well.

I actually felt like I was a different person in so many ways.  The same me but my better self.

transformation

The word transformation springs to mind about my journey with NLP.  I transformed myself from the inside out and that’s what I now help others do.  In the work I now do, I use a mix of Transformational NLP Coaching, Life Coaching, Intuition and an attuned empathic ability to enable me to step into another’s world and see, feel and hear what’s going on for a greater understanding to enable me to help the person at the very core of the issue.

I often think of all the people in the world who are like who I used to be.  I totally understand,  I can so relate to the issues they face, and know how hard and frustrating life can sometimes be.  If I met them I would say this:

“You can give up all the old ways that do not serve you.  You can be happy and feel good about who you are. You can heal your past and set yourself free. You can stop those bad habits for good.  You can step into being a better version of you, tap into your unique genius, use your gifts and talents and consciously co-create a life you want. A life you deserve to have.

2016  is said to be the year of completion. Where the things holding you back can be laid to rest for good.  A year where the effort you put in will serve you so well for the following years.  A year for you to complete any personal unfinished business,  to set yourself free and move in the direction of your dreams.

Do you want 2016  to be your year?  A year where you can commit to your best self and feel like a new you?

I’ve got ten spaces for a free of charge “illuminating Your Potential Coaching session” available in my calendar for January if you would like to set yourself up really well for 2016.
